Welcome to Whissendine Pre School

We are operating under strict Covid-19 Government Guidelines to ensure the safety of all our children, parents and staff.

Whissendine Pre School is home to up to 25 pupils aged between 2 and 4 years.

Situated in the beautiful Rutland village of Whissendine, we have a reputation for being a fun loving, caring setting focused on ensuring the children’s happiness leads to fulfilling their potential. We are committed to delivering high quality childcare and education in a safe and stimulating environment.

Our preschool has a professional team of fun loving, caring staff and we have a moto of ‘learning through play’.  We achieve this through many varied outside activities and experiences, including playing in their outside play area, using the local play park and frequent nature walks around the village.  We also make visits to Forest School and Oakham Library, Museum and Firestation.  Inside activities include music sessions, Fun Fit, Yoga plus many more.   However it is our extremely strong relationship with Whissendine Primary School which sets us aside from other preschools in our area and ensures that our children are school ready.   The children enjoy regular visits and activities with the school and an excellent transition process is in place to ensure a continuation in their learning while experiencing a smooth move from pre-school into school.

We take our commitment to safeguarding children extremely seriously.  We have robust and stringent policies and procedures in place to ensure that it is at the forefront of all our staff’s minds and actions at all times.
